Alexandra Engelson
Producer & Founder
A New York born and raised Producer, Union Costume Designer, Award-Winning Screenwriter, and Advocate. As an inclusive multi-hyphenate storyteller, she believes the powers of film, tv, theatre, books, and art can help shape and change the world. As a Costume Designer Alexandra tells stories through clothing, texture, and psychology. Using these incredible story telling skills, she has transitioned to creating dynamic characters on the written page and as a producer. She believes, together we can all be more inclusive storytellers, through costumes, writing, and filmmaking.
Alexandra is a graduate of Hofstra University with a BA in public relations. Her true passion is being a Foster Child Advocate through the Associate Board for CASA NYC and a Court Appointed Special Advocate for CASA Nassau County.

Brenda Cooks
Associate Producer & Executive Assistant
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Brenda is a passionate TV & Film Producer dedicated to crafting impactful, culture-shifting stories that matter.
After earning her Master’s Degree from Pace University New York City, she began her creative journey working with powerhouse brands like BET, Hulu, MSNBC, MTV, and Warner Bros. Her work is fueled by vision, heart, and an unwavering belief that storytelling can change the world.
At Magic & Moxie, Brenda brings together her production expertise and creative intuition to help shape stories that inspire courage, connection, and transformation.

Bri Lageyre
Associate Producer & Executive Assistant
A South Florida native with a fearless creative spirit, Bri has quickly made her mark as a director, writer, and producer, landing in the top 10% of the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowship with her original screenplay LEMON.
Her passion for storytelling began at UCLA, where a screenwriting class sparked her love for crafting bold, character-driven narratives. Since then, Bri has written and directed BEDTIME, produced indie feature QUARTER, also told through the female perspective. Her passion for telling female stories extends to musical mediums, as Bri’s debut single was released last summer.
At Magic & Moxie, Bri brings that same artistic depth and precision to her role behind the scenes; shaping projects with creative insight, production excellence, and a storyteller’s heart.

Naiara Appaix-Castro

Raised across countries and languages, Naiara has leveraged her background in anthropology to guide her career as a filmmaker, focusing on telling culturally driven stories that explore connection and identity.
With extensive experience as a Producer and a recent directorial debut, her work blends original storytelling, artistic sensibility, and strong leadership to bring bold ideas to life across narrative film, documentary, and other storytelling content.
